9M6 – Once again Saty, JE1JKL will participate in the CQ WW DX CW Contest
as 9M6NA from Labuan Island (OC-133), East Malaysia. It will be a
single-operator single-band entry on 20 metres. QSL via JE1JKL and
LoTW.
6Y – Tom/VE3CX, Harry/VA3EC, Dennis/VE3JAQ and Tony/VE3RZ will be active
as VE3CX/6Y5 from Jamaica (NA-097) on 22-28 November. They will
participate in the CQ WW DX CW Contest as 6Y3T. All QSLs via VE3CX.

9Y – Nick, VE3EY will be active again as 9Y4/VE3EY from Trinidad
(SA-011) on 23-28 November. He will operate CW on 160-10 metres,
and will partecipate in the CQ WW DX CW Contest. QSL via home call

BY – Dale, BA4TB will participate in the CQ WW DX CW Contest from
Hengsha Island (AS-136). It will be a single-operator single-band

CE – A large group of operators from the Antofagasta DX Team will be
active as 3G1G from Puerto Gatico on 25-27 November. They will
operate CW, RTTY, PSK31 and JT65 on 40-10 metres. QSL direct only
to CE1ANF.
CT8 – Hermann, HB9CRV will participate in the CQ WW DX CW Contest as CR2V
(not CU9/CU8FN as previously announced, 425DXN 1331). He will be
operating from IOTA group EU-089. QSL via HB9CRV, direct or bureau,

D4 – Raul, EA2SS will be active holiday style as D44TBC from Ilha do Sal
(AF-086), Cape Verde on 19-28 November. He will be QRV on 30 and 20

FG – Dave, WJ2O will be active as FG/WJ2O from Guadeloupe (NA-102)
during the CQ WW DX CW Contest. Before and after the contest he

FK – Dom/FK8CE, Mic/FK8IK and Sam/FK8DD will participate in the CQ WW DX
CW Contest as TX8F from the ARANC (Association des Radio Amateurs
en Nouvelle-Caledonie) club station in Noumea (OC-032), New
Caledonia. QSL via NI5DX, Club Log and eQSL.
I – To commemorate the 85th anniversary of the first experiments
conducted by Guglielmo Marconi in the Gulf of Tigullio, ARI Rapallo
will be active as IY1MR from 18 November to 4 December. Operations
will take place from Suite 105 at Grand Hotel Miramare in Santa
Margherita, where Marconi stayed between 1931 and 1936. QSL via the
bureau or direct to Sezione ARI, Ufficio Rapallo, Casella Postale

J7 – Walter, HB9MFM is once again active as J79WTA from Dominica
(NA-101) until 3 February 2017. He operates SSB and digital modes
on 160-10 metres. QSL J79WTA via HB9MFM, direct or bureau, and
LoTW; logsearch on Club Log. Also active from Dominica will soon be
Seth, SM0XBI, who will be QRV again as J79XBI for four months. QSL
J79XBI via SM5DJZ and LoTW; logsearch and OQRS on Club Log.
JD1_mt – Take, JG8NQJ expects to be back to the weather station on Minami
Torishima (OC-073) for three months starting on 19 December. He
operates CW and RTTY as JG8NQJ/JD1 in his spare time. QSL via
JA8CJY (direct) or JG8NQJ (bureau).
KP2 – K3CT and K3TEJ will be active from the US Virgin Islands (NA-106)
from 20 November to 18 December, including an entry in the CQ WW DX
CW Contest as KP2Q (QSL via K3TEJ). Outside the contest they will
operate mainly CW with an emphasis on 30, 17, 12 metres and Asia.

OZ – Volker, DJ8VW will be active again as 5P8VW from Romo Island
(EU-125) from 26 November to 10 December. He will operate SSB, CW
and JT65 on 160-6 metres. QSL via DJ8VW (direct or bureau), Club
Log’s OQRS (preferred), eQSL and LoTW.
PJ4 – Look for PJ4/K4RO, PJ4/W4PA and PJ4/WF7T to be active from Bonaire
(SA-006) on 21-30 November. They will team up with PJ4NX and will
partecipate in the CQ WW DX CW Contest as PJ4Q (QSL via W4PA).
Outside the contest they w ill concentrate on 160, 30, 17 and 12

PJ7 – Tom, K2GSJ is active again as PJ7TM from Sint Maarten (NA-105)
until 10 January. He usually operates SSB on 2010 metres, but can
also be found on 160, 40 and 30 metres CW. QSL via home call,

PJ7 – Chris, N0UK (G4JEC) will be active holiday style as PJ7/G4JEC from
Sint Maarten (NA-105) from 26 November to 3 December, including

TI – Darrell, AB2E, will be active as TI5/AB2E from Costa Rica on 24-29
November. Main activity will be during the CQ WW DX CW Contest. QSL

TK – TK/S50P, TK/S53BB, TK/S53CC, TK/S53F, TK/S53RM, TK/S53WW, TK/S53ZO,
TK/S55OO, TK/S57C and TK/S57L will be active from Sant’Ambroggio,
Corsica (EU-014) on 22-29 November. Main activity will be during
the CQ WW DX CW Contest as TK0C (QSL via LoTW, eQSL or S50C).
UA – Commemorating the 120th anniversary of Fridtjof Nansen’s legendary
expedition to the Arctic Ocean, the RT9K/9 Dxpedition [425DXN 1329]
is set to start on 14 February 2017. Five operators expect to be
active from IOTA groups AS-054, AS-121, AS-104 and AS-068.
Depending on weather and ice conditions, plans are to spend 4-5
days on each island, and to operate CW, SSB and digital modes with
three stations on 40-10 metres. QSL via RX9KM; four separate Club

UA_ant – Alex, RD1AV will be active again as RI1ANC from Vostok Station,
Antarctica from 10 December to February 2018. In his spare time he
will be QRV on all bands CW, SSB and digital modes. QSL via RN1ON,

V7 – Neil, WD8CRT is back to Kwajalein (OC-028), Marshall Islands and
will be QRV as V73NS throughout December, including activity during
the CQ WW DX CW Contest. He will try and “operate 80 and 160

VK – VK5CE’s next visit to Granite Island (OC-228) will be on 19
November, from 6 to 9 UTC. Craig will be QRV as VK5CE/p on 20, 17
and 15 metres. “For those in VK2/VK3/VK5 who can never hear me on
the higher bands”, he says, “I’ll be visiting OC-228 again in
December on a Saturday or Sunday, and I’ll spend an hour on 40m

VK – Craig, VK5CE will be active as VK5CE/8 from North Island (OC-198)
on 1-5 November 2017. This rare IOTA group was activated only
twice, by VK8ISL (1994) and VK4WWI/8 (2004). “I’ve been trying to
bring this on the air since 2011”, Craig says. It has taken five
years, and finally he has been able “to secure a reliable boat
charter and most importantly a safe location to operate from”. QSL

VP5 – Look for VP5/AA4NC will to be active holiday style on 21-30
November. He will operate CW, SSB and RTTY on 160-10 metres. He
will participate in the CQ WW DX CW Contest as VP5M along with

VP9 – George, GM0IIO will be active as VP9/KQ8Z from Bermuda (NA-005) on

VU – Datta, VU2DSI will be active as AU2JCB from 23 November to 12
December to celebrate the birthdate of Indian physicist and radio
pioneer Jagadish Chandra Bose. Look for activity on 80, 40, 20, 15
and 10 metres. QSL via VU2DSI (direct).
XX9 – Alberto VR2XAN, Andrea IV3SKB, Stefano IK2JUB and Luca IK2PFL will
be active as XX9TXN from Macao 21-29 November, including an entry
in the CQ WW DX CW Contest. They will operate mainly CW with an
emphasis on the low and WARC bands. QSL direct only to VR2XAN.
YN – Josep, EA3BT and Nuria, EA3WL will be active as H74B and H74W from
Big Corn Island (Isla del Gran Maiz, NA-013), Nicaragua from 31
December to 6 January. They will operate SSB, RTTY and some CW on
40-6 metres. QSL both callsigns via EA3BT, preferably through Club
Log’s OQRS.
CARIBBEAN TRIP —> Mike, VE7ACN will be active as PJ2/VE7ACN from Curacao
(SA-099) on 21-29 November, as J3/VE7ACN from Carriacou Island (NA-147) from
30 November to 8 December, and as VP5/VE7ACN from Grand Turk Island (NA-003)

DXCC NEWS —> Recently approved for DXCC credit operations include 9Q6BB
(Democratic Republic of the Congo, current activity), E44QX (Palestine,
2015-16) and T31T (Central Kiribati, 2016).
XZ1A —> This is the callsign that JH1AJT, along with E21EIC, DJ9ZB and
W5MJ, have been using from Myanmar since 17 November. They are expected to
remain there until the 22nd [425DXN 1332]. QSL via JH1AJT; the OQRS on Club
Log will be available after Zorro returns home.
